August 2006 - Jerusalem is truly a burdensome
stone for all people. The Hamas and the Hezbollah
both kidnapped Israeli soliders to antagonize
the Israeli's and incite a war. Lebanon has
been cut in pieces by a stronger than expected
Israeli retaliation. The Palestinians suffer
from hunger and power outages as their land
lies in ruins.
The conflict has caused the death of hundreds
of civilians, widespread infrastructure damage
in Lebanon, and has displaced more than a million
people and disrupted normal life across most
of Lebanon and the northern parts of Israel.
Israeli and Hezbollah attacks on civilian population
centers and infrastructure have both drawn
sharp criticism internationally.
Israeli Action
Prime Minister of Israel Ehud Olmert declared
the attack by Hezbollah’s military wing
an “act of war,” and promised Lebanon
a “very painful and far-reaching response.” CNN
reported that "The Israeli Cabinet authorized "severe
and harsh" retaliation on Lebanon . .
. Israel's chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Dan Halutz,
told Israel's Channel 10, "If the soldiers
are not returned, we will turn Lebanon's clock
back 20 years." The message
is: If you want your air conditioning to work
and if you want to be able to fly to Paris
for shopping, you must pull your head out of
the sand and take action toward shutting down
Hezbollah-land
Zechariah 12:6 In
that day will I make the governors of Judah
like an hearth of fire among
the wood,
and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they
shall devour all the people round about, on
the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem
shall be inhabited again in her own place,
even in Jerusalem. Hezbollah
Hezbollah is a Lebanese Shi'a Muslim Islamist
organization formed in 1982 primarily
to offer resistance to the Israeli occupation.
Hezbollah's political stance
has consistently called for
the destruction of Israel. Hezbollah
is classified to differing degrees as a terrorist
organisation by the US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia,
and the Netherlands.
Hamas
The Hamas
is a Palestinian Sunni Islamist militant organization
that currently forms the democratically elected
government of the Palestinian people. It
is listed as a terrorist organization by Australia,
Canada, the United Kingdom, the
European Union, Israel, and the United
States, and is banned in Jordan.

Zechariah 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem
